Yurts provide captivating and welcoming space for all to enjoy. The unique area creates an environment of warmth and relaxation. The natural materials of canvas, wool & timber, create an earthy, natural and breathable abode, that sets you mind & soul at ease.
The yurt structure is rooted in the spiritual beliefs of early Mongolian tribes, the round shape evoking the sky and the central pillars symbolising the connection between earth and the heavens.
The Tipi brings another element of natural shelter to the Oasis property.
Predominantly set up as a living space the Tipi can readily adapt to a accommodate your group needs from meditation to yoga or perhaps a photo booth or another bedroom
There are 14 separate beds across the 6 Yurts; 10 Queen Beds and 4 King-Single beds, 2 of which are upper bunks and 2 are roll-away beds which could be moved to different rooms
The Lodge packages include overnight accommodation for up to 14 guests allowing everyone their own bed.
Please contact us if your group is larger than 14, our maximum occupancy is 24 guests if sharing beds.

- 2 x Double Queen Yurts with a King-Single roll-away Bed (3 beds)
The Shed Guesthouse rooms can also be added to your reservation, accommodation upto 4 extra guests
Please note the Romantic Getaway package includes overnight accommodation for a maximum of 6 adults, with exclusive lodge usage + 3 Yurts only.
From time to time we will release dates when it is possible to escape to Oasis with just your partner, or a smaller group.
Winter 2020 dates are;
- June 25th – June 28th
- July 30th – August 2nd
- August 27th – August 30th
- September 24th – September 27th
The Oasis Lodge, 1 bathroom and 2 larger Yurts have full certified wheel chair access.
We do recommend letting us know in advance to your stay if you have any special requirements so that we can prepare before arrival
Facilities are shared in the Central Lodge, which is just a short walk from each yurt.
There is 1 large fully accessible bathroom with walk-in shower, 1 bathroom with enclosed shower and 1 additional bathroom.
We think biking rocks so we have on offer a fleet of bikes for guests use (foc). Available on a first come basis our bikes are a fantastic option for exploring some of Wānakas amazing tracks and trails right here from Oasis
A personal check-in is provided between 2pm & 8pm.

Children are absolutely welcome here at Oasis. Infants under 2 years old are invited to co-sleep with you, you may bring your own porta cot we have 2 available to hire. Children age 3 years and over are counted in your reservation occupancy numbers
The lodge is fully equipped and provisioned for you to have a full self-catered getaway. Our main supermarket has fantastic variety of organic and whole foods as do our local retailers and weekly farmers markets
Wanaka has an amazing array of caterers and local providers who offer full catering packages to deluxe grazing boxes or picnic hampers, many of whom deliver to you onsite.

Yes we are blessed with fantastic water straight from our on-site bore!
Our climate here in Central Otago is extremely dry and throughout a big portion of the year we have a compulsory fire ban throughout the Wānaka region.
We regret that for safety reasons, open fires are NOT permitted on site under any circumstances.
Each Yurt has it’s own wood burner which can be used through the Winter months (April – November). Upon check-in we show all guests how to use the fire – if you are not comfortable with the fire there is also electric heating!
There is a commercial coin operated washing machine & dryer on site plus a couple of portable clothes racks and pegs.
An incredible way to interact, have fun and enjoy the outdoor environment.
Currently you will find Giant Jenga, Kubb and Ladder Ball around the propert. If you have suggestions of the next item to add to the fleet, please let us know.
There are hammocks, a slackline and ladder game around to!
Yes the Lodge carpark is within easy walkable distance to the lodge, yurts and grounds
We generally do not accommodate pets, unless registered guide dogs.
If you are bringing a registered guide dog please contact us before your stay as some additional policies are in place.
When hiring the Lodge exclusively please do contact us regarding pets. We will assess on a case by case if we can accommodate – we have had ponies to stay before!
All of our yurts are certified buildings, although Yurts are tent like in appearance they are wholesome permanent dwellings and very warm
We are a year round accommodation and Winter is a fabulous time to visit Wānaka and experience Yurt Living – after all the Mongolian tribes live in yurts in the Steppes!
Yurts are insulated with Tera-Lana wool insulation, and heated year around via an electric powered Dyson Jet Focus Hot + Cool climate control fan. The wood burners are available to use in the Winter months (April – November) although we recommend using the Dyson heaters as the best temperature regulators
All beds are fitted with NZ wool duvets (500gsm in Winter, 350gsm in Summer) and you’ll find a plenitude of NZ wool blankets available inside your Yurt & the central lodge
Being a 21st century nature lodge we do have a fabulous WiFi connection
Alternatively you can of course turn off all signals and devices and enjoy a device free retreat
The Shed Guesthouse is another accommodation option on property, which can be added onto your booking
Follows the same values of interaction and community, the guesthouse has a fabulous share kitchen and lounge and hosts 2 private ensuite Queen bedrooms.
A great option for retreat facilitators, or if you have group members who prefer a more traditional sleeping option and their own en-suite bathroom
