Yurts provide captivating and welcoming space for all to enjoy. The unique area creates an environment of warmth and relaxation. The natural materials of canvas, wool & timber, create an earthy, natural and breathable abode, that sets you mind & soul at ease.

The yurt structure is rooted in the spiritual beliefs of early Mongolian tribes, the round shape evoking the sky and the central pillars symbolising the connection between earth and the heavens.

The Tipi brings another element of natural shelter to the Oasis property.

Predominantly set up as a living space the Tipi can readily adapt for group bookings and private hire; from a meditation to yoga space, photo booth room, breakout room or another bedroom.

Oasis has individual bed capacity for 14 guests. Up to 24 guest may be hosted overnight if sharing beds or 28 when including The Shed Guesthouse.

There are 14 separate beds across the 6 Oasis Yurts and 2 separate beds in The Shed Guesthouse.

The Oasis Lodge, 1 bathroom and the 2 family Yurts have full certified wheel chair access.

We do recommend letting us know in advance to your stay if you have any special requirements so that we can prepare before arrival.

Facilities are shared in the Central Lodge, which is just a short walk from each Yurt.

There is 1 large fully accessible bathroom with walk-in shower, 1  bathroom with enclosed shower plus 1 additional bathroom all inside the Lodge.

There is also an outdoor (heated) shower next to the hot tub!

Please email or call ahead with your estimated arrival time +48hours before your stay as we aim to personally greet you.

Check-out is 10am

For exclusive hire booking an 11:30am late check-out can be added onto your stay for $150.00.

For individual hotel bookings an 11:30am late check-out can be added onto your stay for $50.00/ room.

Children are absolutely welcome here at Oasis. Infants and children under 3 years old are FOC. Your welcome to bring your own porta cot we have 2 available to hire.

Children age 3 years and over are counted in your reservation occupancy numbers.

The Lodge is fully equipped and provisioned for you to self-cater during your stay. Our main supermarket has fantastic variety of organic and whole foods as do our local retailers and weekly farmers markets.

Wānaka has an amazing array of caterers and local providers who offer full catering packages to deluxe grazing boxes or picnic hampers. Most caterers will deliver direct on site.

The Oasis property taps into the Wanaka basin Aquifer. Flowing through charcoal filters to provide un-chlorinated fresh water.

Each Yurt has it’s own wood burner which can be used through the Winter months (April – November).

Upon check-in we show all guests how to use the fire – if you are not comfortable with the fire there is also electric heating in each Yurt.

Our climate here in Central Otago is extremely dry and throughout a big portion of the year we have a compulsory fire ban throughout the Wānaka region.

We regret that for safety reasons, open fires, guest own camping equipment and candles are NOT permitted on site under any circumstances.

Yes we have a fabulous Wood-Fired Hot Tub right here on site.

Our Tub – Tāpu was made right here in Wānaka by Stoked Stainless.

There is no manadatory fee for hot tub usage, however we appreciate a suggested koha/ donation of $15 per room/ per day towards our Carbon offsetting & sustainability initiatives which to  Te Kākano Aotearoa Trust.

There is a commercial coin operated washing machine & dryer on site, a portable drying rack and pegs.

An incredible way to interact, have fun and enjoy the outdoor environment.

Currently you will find Giant Jenga, Kubb and Ladder Ball around the property. If you have suggestions of the next item to add to the fleet, please let us know.

There are also hammocks, a slackline, ladder walk & giant tug of war!

The Lodge carpark is within easy walkable distance to the Lodge, Yurts and grounds.

Please contact us pre booking regarding bringing pets to Oasis. We do have additional T&C’s regarding pets.

If you are bringing a registered guide dog please also contact us before your stay to acknowledge the additional T&C’s.

If anything they get too warm!!

All of our yurts are certified buildings, although Yurts are tent like in appearance they are wholesome permanent dwellings and very warm.

Oasis is a year round accommodation and Winter is a fabulous time to visit Wānaka and experience Yurt Living. After all the Mongolian tribes live in Yurts in the Steppes!

The Oasis Yurts are hand made in Aotearoa by Jaia in Golden Bay. Each is insulated with natural Tera-Lana wool insulation. All Yurts have a wood burner and power connection. An electric powered Dyson Jet Focus Hot + Cool climate control fan is in each Yurt.

All beds are dressed with NZ wool duvets (500gsm in Winter, 350gsm in Summer) and NZ wool blankets.

Being a 21st century nature lodge we do have a fabulous WiFi connection.

Alternatively you can of course turn off all signals and devices and enjoy a device free retreat.

The Shed Guesthouse is another accommodation option on property, which can be added onto your booking.

Follows the same values of interaction and community, the guesthouse has a fabulous shared kitchen, lounge and 2 private ensuite Queen bedrooms.

A great option for retreat facilitators, or for group members who prefer a more traditional sleeping option.
