Payment and Cancellation Policies

Payments are due inline with your chosen package or property terms. Terms offered may vary from package to package & room to room. Please ensure you have selected the package that suits your travel preferences. Are standard terms for general bookings are listed below. All bookings of an event or function nature will have alternative terms as per your contract.

Oasis Yurt Lodge | Standard Terms | Exclusive Hire & Hotel Stays

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation
A 75% non-refundable balance payment us due 14 days before arrival.

The Shed Guesthouse | Standard Terms

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation
A 90% non-refundable balance payment us due 7 days before arrival.

Extended Terms Regarding Covid-19

Policy update 16.09.2021

For all bookings made from 16th September 2012 forwards for direct bookings only.

Domestic travellers

If New Zealand returns to a ‘lock-down’ situation’ i.e. level 3 or 4 which means domestic travel is not possible;

  • Any deposits or payments may be one time transferred to another date within 6 months of your original date of arrival.
 
Australian travellers

If NZ government restrictions dictate a ‘pause’ on quarantine free travel between NZ & your state, meaning that you are unable to travel to NZ;

  • Your initial 25% non-refundable deposit remains non-refundable. Any further receipts may be transferred to another date within 6 months or up to a maximum of 12 months if boarder restrictions remain in place.

Historic Policies 01.07.2020

For all bookings made from 1st July 2020 forwards for direct bookings only.

Domestic travellers

If New Zealand returns to a ‘lock-down’ situation’ i.e. level 3 or 4 which means domestic travel is not possible;

  • Your initial 25% non-refundable deposit remains non-refundable. Any further receipts may be transferred to another date within 6 months.
 
Australian travellers

If NZ government restrictions dictate a ‘pause’ on quarantine free travel between NZ & your state, meaning that you are unable to travel to NZ;

  • Your initial 25% non-refundable deposit remains non-refundable. Any further receipts may be transferred to another date within 6 months.
Please note these policies are for direct bookings only. If you have made a booking made via a third party i.e. Booking.com, Expedia  Air BnB etc their own policies will be honoured.
All other International travellers; 

If you reside outside of New Zealand or Australia and wish to secure specific dates we can offer a 100% non-refundable booking option. The booking will, under all circumstances, remain non-refundable

Other Conditions

Oasis Yurt Lodge & The Shed Guesthouse are not responsible for currency conversion and therefore any questions regarding currency conversion must be directed to your credit card company.

No shows by 8:00am the following morning of your due date of arrival will be considered a cancellation. No refund is applicable and we reserve the right to re-release the remaining nights of your reservation.

The owner reserves the right to offer alternative and promotional terms on any package or property

Non-refundable bookings have no option to cancel or receive a refund at a later date, under any circumstance

Any request for cancellations or modifications to your reservation must be made in writing, via email, to stay@oasiswanaka.co.nz

Any request for cancellations or modifications to a reservation made via a third party i.e. Booking.com, Air BnB, Expedia, must be made directly with that provider.

We suggest taking our travel insurance to cover all instances

Oasis Yurt Lodge & The Shed Guesthouse will operate within the Consumer Guarantees Act & Fair-Trading Act.
