Puzzling World
Is ridiculously entertaining fun for ages and all the family. A plenitude of mind boggling sometimes stomach churning, optical illusions and a multi-level outdoor maze. As you enter the property there’s a nice open café area with tediously fun and fascinating puzzles on every table plus a little gift shop, which stocks some great wooden and other games and puzzles.
National Transport & Toy Museum
This fascinating place houses one of the largest private collections in the world, a complete motor heads dream! The transport museum has rare and unusual aircraft, cars, trucks, motorcycles, military vehicles, farm machinery and tractors. Then the toy museum has an enormous unique and diverse collection of clockwork and battery powered toys, porcelain dolls, teddy bears, pedal cars and money boxes. There are indoor and outdoor playing areas for the kids and the a great selection of models and gifts in the shop area.
The Lavender Farm
An awesome place for a relaxing morning or afternoon, the gardens are immense and fabulously maintained, with interested statues and games hidden around the place. There’s a tearoom serving up lavender infused goodies, a honey shop plus a great farm area with alpaca, heritage chickens, cuniculi, highland cows and many more.
Basecamp Indoor Climbing Centre
A great option for people looking to give climbing a try or train indoors whilst the weather is bad! There’s a bouldering room plus a ‘Clip & Climb’ area which is even suitable for all ages, even preschoolers! It is fun, entertaining, challenging and a great family option.
Cinema Paradiso
3 screen, state of the art, classic movie theatre. Comfy old sofas, an old Morris Minor or two, a cafe and bar serving delicious meals before, during or after the movie. Homemade ice cream & world-famous fresh hot cookies are delicious. Gives you a “half time” break. A truly memorable movie experience!
Ruby’s Cinema
A boutique 1920’s style cinema experience, transporting you to a time when going to the pictures was an event. You can sit in a glamorous booth and enjoy a pre-movie beverage and the cinema seating itself offers luxurious couches – almost like going to the theatre.
